Why choose T&D Childcare?

At T&D Childcare your child will be one of a small group. This means they will receive plenty of individual attention. In nurseries children rarely have one-to-one care and their masterpieces and milestones can go unnoticed. Unfortunately, in most nurseries and pre-schools there is a large staff turnover and as soon as children start to bond with their carer, the relationship can be broken. They then have to start the process of building up trust all over again with someone new, and it can take months for them to feel safe, secure, and happy with their new carer.

At T&D Childcare we like to get personal. Caring for small numbers of children means that we can really get to know them as they grow up and can offer very individual support whilst building a strong relationship. Children are much more likely to take steps into loving arms or engage in activities with someone they have come to know and trust.

We give children real life skills and experiences by letting them join in with making lunch, baking, cleaning, helping to write shopping lists and going to the supermarket. We really are a home from home. We also do all the things that some busy parents might not have the time to do, such as going to the park, woods, library, the beach and local attractions. We let the children run about, make noise, have fun, and be themselves!

Children are also encouraged to learn new skills, be healthy and physical by our kind, caring and supportive male & female staff - Meet the Team to find out more.

Working in partnership...

We work in partnership with parents to ensure that every stage of a child's development never goes unnoticed. We keep parents/carers informed at all times and communicate any problems the child may be experiencing. We send out weekly journals which include a summary of things their child has participated in and learned, along with lots of photos. We aim to have a clear and open channel of communication with each parent/carer as we know how important it is to you.

WHAT OUR PARENTS & CARERS SAY

Heather

Mum of 2

"T&D childcare provide care for our daughter before and after school.  We appreciate the supportive and professional home-based care that their small team deliver.

Children are happy, relaxed and well looked after and they have consistent staff that both you - and your child - get to know well."

"We chose T&D because Tracey is such a natural and warm hearted person. When we first met, we could see the good strong relationships she had with the children in her care. That's what we wanted for our little boy when he couldn't be with us. Danny has joined with the same ethos, bringing his own sense of playfulness, too.

We appreciate the welcoming, home based setting and the commitment all the staff have to the children. We love the trips and adventures the children go on in the mini bus! I have recommended T&D to my friends and they have children there now too."

Lisa

Mum of 1

"Our son has been with T&D Childcare for 3 months now, and he absolutely loves being with them! He even asks to go on days he doesn't need too, which of course makes it easier for me knowing when I go to work, he is happy and enjoying himself.

T&D offer a home from home feel, and are great with the children. Whilst our son has been in their care, he has come on leaps and bounds. He is quite a shy boy, but they have been great at increasing his confidence. I couldn't recommend T&D childcare enough, they are very loyal, caring people who have the best interest of each individual child at heart. You couldn't ask for better people to look after your children."

Hayley

Mum of 2

"I first met the T&D Childcare staff at Happy Hands play group, having been going since my son was 5 weeks old. it was here that I noticed the care and attention they give to the children. When it was time for me to return to work, I began looking at nurseries which I found too chaotic, so we chose to send our son to T&D Childcare.

When we drop him off he is immediately laughing & smiling - he rarely wants to leave! He enjoys his time there so much and is always out and about doing different activities. I would not hesitate at all to recommend T&D Childcare to anyone."
